Rules for the youth

Families are welcome every day, from Monday to Friday from 9 a.m. to 11 p.m. and at weekends from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. To safeguard the safety of everyone and maintain a good atmosphere to climb, we do not allow large group of children without sufficient supervision to enter the gym. Adults are required to look after their children and therefore, only two children per adult are allowed.

Our bouldering gym is accessible to children over 6 years old.

Children under 13 are only allowed to climb accompanied by an adult.

Teenagers older than 12 years old can climb without supervision upon presentation of a written authorization from a parent/guardian. We ask parents/guardians to declare that their children are in good physical health and that they agree with the rules and regulations of the gym. These regulations are also available at the reception desk and everyone is expected to have read them.

We ask parents, especially of the youngest children, to ensure that their children do not run and shout in the climbing gym. That way everyone can enjoy the climbing gym.

Family climbing

Petite Ile offers private family lessons, adapted to the needs of each family member.

Price for one adult and two children: 60 EURO (including climbing teacher, entry tickets, but without rental of climbing shoes).

Birthdays

We organize birthday parties at Petite Ile every Saturday from 14h to 16h and from 15h to 17h.

You are welcomed in the gym where one big table is reserved for you and your guests for a duration of two hours. During the first hour the kids will climb accompanied by one of our instructors. The animation includes an introduction to safety, games and some competitions. Please keep in mind that Petite Ile is a sports venue and that the animation will be focused on climbing.

During the second hour the kids can party at the table reserved for you.

You can bring the food and snacks for the party but we ask you to consume the drinks of our cafeteria which offers a wide variety of soft drinks – including 1-liter bottles of juices. We ask you to avoid single use plastic plates and cutlery and to privilege reusable tableware! We furnish you with glasses.

The price of the birthday party at Petite Ile is 180 EUROS, drinks excluded.

Before booking online you will be asked to agree with the terms and conditions of Petite Ile. Not complying with the rules might result in your party being canceled.

WEEKLY LESSONS

Petite Ile offers climbing lessons for everyone.

Lessons for children and adolescents (from 6 to 18 years of age) take place during the school year on Wednesday afternoons and Saturday mornings in groups of maximum 10 people.

Our approach is based on games, climbing technique and free practice.

For the youngest, the gym offers a wide range of tools to awaken their psychomotricity.

Through adventure circuits and games, the child approaches climbing in a fun and safe way.

For the older ones, we propose courses focused on improving technique, flexibility and strength, promoting group cohesion and mutual aid.

Our childrens’ courses are organised by Midi Ecole d’escalade asbl.
